We Buy Customs: China Coking Coal Imports Up 9.5% YoY in September 2018

China imported 6.61 million tons of coking coal in September 2018, increasing 9.5% on year and decreasing 390,000 tons or 5.57% on month, according to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs.
In January-September, total coking coal imports reached 50.33 million tons, dropping 4.3% from the year prior. According to coal imports in the first nine months, annual coking coal imports in 2018 will be 67.29 million tons.
Imports value stood at $ 918.202 million in September 2018, increasing 18.9% year on year. It translated to an average import price of $ 138.91/t, decreasing $ 17.22/t month on month but increasing $ 14.14/t year on year. In January-September, total imports value reached $ 7553.481 million, increasing 6.8% year on year.
