To whom it may concern,
This letter is to request a free sample of the UC864-G 3G GSM module manufactured by the prestigious individuals at Telnit. But first, I would like to provide you with a little background about our project and where this module would be utilized. Our group consists of 5 individuals that are currently enrolled in a Senior Design project at The University of Texas at Austin. We are planning to build a ground transversing vehicle that will be used for surveillance, with control provided from an internet enabled computer. To provide communication from the client to our vehicle, we are planning to implement a GSM module on board our vehicle. Unfortunately, since our group consists of all college students, we are a bit strapped for cash.
To this matter, we were hoping that you could provide us with a test copy of your UC864-G 3G GSM module so that we could use it to implement our project. Since we are designing this project only to satisfy requirements of a class, you have our guarantee that this project will not be used commercially and all credits for part suppliers will be duly noted. If you find it too steep to provide us with a working test copy of this part, we would greatly appreciate it if you could provide us with the module for a subsidized price.
Furthermore, we have attached our design report from our planning stages of the project for further verification that this project will only be used for competition with our fellow peers. We can provide any further information as required if it is needed to receive a subsidized/free sample.
