a 'fast yet legacy compatible' concept. If it has audio the chip should NOT force resampling, such as the Analog Devices AD1981b (or a copy of it), which sounds better (more natural) than any other computer sound chip and is very inexpensive =) Realtek and Creative type brands are by far the worst, forcing resampling which destroys sound quality. The motherboards I buy will be for audio recording
